Anxiety is a different story for each and every person who walks through our doors. Therefore, anxiety treatment and coping skills differ as well. Some people struggle to manage responsibilities or avoid social situations, while others wrestle with inner thoughts. Anxiety works into all aspects of a person’s life.

You may have noticed your own moments of nervousness and uneasiness creeping into your everyday life. Whether it seems that you have a reason to feel that way or not. People may have told you to “calm down” or “it’s all in your head.” As we know, these phrases aren’t helpful and don’t recognize the severity of your anxiety’s impact. Anxiety isn’t something that you can turn off by flipping a switch.

What is anxiety?
