Waters Edge Counseling was originally opened in 2014, by practice owner Whitney Owens, when she and her family relocated to Savannah, GA.

The practice started small, with Whitney as the one and only counselor, located in the upstairs space of a blue Victorian house at 2103 Bull Street, on the corner of Bull and 37th Street, in downtown Savannah.  Since then, Waters Edge Counseling has grown, taking over the entire blue Victorian, as well as the neighboring yellow Victorian house at 2107 Bull Street in 2022.

2103 and 2107 Bull Street have served as the home of Waters Edge Counseling for the past decade, and in 2024 we had the opportunity to grow and expand the practice with opening up a third location on Wilmington Island in early 2025.

From its humble beginnings as a small, one clinician practice, Waters Edge Counseling has grown into a three-location practice, with a total of 17 clinicians, looking to serve the needs of all individuals in the Coastal Georgia area as a place to rest, risk and be restored.

Our team of clinicians have various backgrounds and experiences, areas of expertise, and can work with clients utilizing various modalities.  We work with clients ages 6+.

Some of the areas that we specialize in include: CBT, EMDR, Play Therapy, Grief Counseling, Marriage and Couples Counseling, Christian Counseling, Addiction Counseling, Eating Disorders, Child/Teen/College Student Counseling, LGBTQ+ Counseling, Mood Disorders, Life Transitions and many more.

Our main office and Client Care Coordinators are available from Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm, with the exception of certain federal holidays, and we would be happy to assist you in finding the right clinician to meet your mental health needs and availability.

We have a voicemail, as well as options to make online inquiries and appointment requests, set up for outside of normal business hours, where you can leave a message with your name and number and we will contact you the following business day.

Directions To Our Office:

The downtown locations at 2103 & 2107 Bull Street are conveniently accessible through downtown Savannah via Bull Street or 37th Street.

For those traveling from neighboring cities (Bloomingdale, Pooler, Richmond Hill, Rincon, etc.), I-16 will take you directly onto 37th Street, where you can make a right turn onto Bull Street to access these locations.

For those traveling from the islands, Highway 80 West to Victory Drive will take you directly to Bull Street, where you can make a left turn onto Bull Street to access these locations.
