Katie Marklin

Hello, I’m Katie Marklin

Katie Marklin
I provide counseling for adolescents, adults, and couples who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, relational struggles, and life transitions. My goal is to create a supportive and compassionate space where clients can explore their experiences, strengthen relationships, and develop tools for healing and growth. I am trained in Level 1 of the Gottman Method, which helps partners deepen connection and improve communication.

In my work, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. I also have experience providing Eating Disorder recovery with practice tools and interventions. My counseling style is collaborative, client-centered, and focused on building resilience and self-awareness.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communication from North Carolina State University, with a concentration in Interpersonal, Rhetorical, and Organizational Communication. I have completed my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Arizona University. Though I have lived in several different places, I most recently moved to Savannah from Arizona and am enjoying all that the beautiful coastal area has to offer.

I am under clinical supervision at Waters Edge Counseling, working toward licensure (LPC) in the state of Georgia. I look forward to partnering with clients as they take steps toward healing, growth, and stronger connections.
