Healthy Family Communication Course

This spring Water’s Edge Counseling will offer a four-part series on healthy communication within the family unit. This class will focus on the basics of communication along with discussing different communication styles among various family members. After the education parents are encouraged to take an evening to have dinner downtown while childcare if provided.

The event is the last Saturday of the month from January through April from 4:30-8:00. The cost is $10/session if paid in advance and $15/session at the door. You can attend as many session as you are able. Each session stands individually. The course will be hosted by Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church at 429 Abercorn Street. Jan. 26nd “Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About” This presentation will focus on the basics of communication.

Feb. 23rd “A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action” We will separate men and women to better understand the different ways we communicate.

March 30th “Love is a Battlefield” Couples will come together to learn how to more effectively communicate with one another.

April 27th “Please Don’t Let me be Misunderstood” We will divide into different classes based on your child’s age to better understand their communication.
